HIV-1 and HIV-2 Screen
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is the virus that causes AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). HIV is a contagious disease that may spread when the blood and bodily fluids of an infected person come into contact with broken skin or mucous membranes of an unifected person.
This test screens for the presence of HIV-1 and HIV-2 antibodies. Abnormal results may require further evaluation by your physician.
