Significant deviations from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.

Actual Total Testosterone levels will be provided with this test for levels up to 10,000.
If this panel is ordered by a female, the PSA test will not be performed.
Patient should fast for 12 hours preceding collection of specimen. Fasting is defined as no consumption of food or beverage other than water for at least 12 hours before testing. Specimens should be collected in the morning from patients in a fasting state, since iron values decrease by 30% during the course of the day and there can be significant interference from lipemia. For accurate test results, no ejaculation during the 24 hours preceding the test. If using a testosterone cream please be sure you have not rubbed any into the antecubital area of your arm for the last 24 hours as it can give elevated results.
Estimated turnaround for results is 7 business days. If confirmation testing is required, the estimated time may be extended.
Significant deviations from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.

Note: Actual Total Testosterone levels will be provided with this test even when levels exceed 1500. However, >50 is the highest value on the Free (Direct)Testosterone.
Please Note: If this panel is ordered by a female, due to ordering restrictions on certain tests, the PSA test will not be included on the requisition and will not be performed.
Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy is not the same as calcitriol or 1,25 dihydroxy. Calcitriol/Vitamin D, 1,25 Dihydroxy must be ordered separately.
Patient should fast for 12 hours preceding collection of specimen. Nonpregnant patients only. For accurate test results, no ejaculation during the 24 hours preceding the test. If using a testosterone cream please be sure you have not rubbed any into the antecubital area of your arm for the last 24 hours as it can give elevated results. No isotopes administered 24 hours prior to venipuncture. Some tests may exhibit interference when sample is collected from a person who is consuming a supplement with a high dose of biotin (also termed as vitamin B7 or B8, vitamin H or coenzyme R). It is recommended to stop biotin consumption at least 72 hours prior to the collection of specimen. Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy is not the same as calcitriol or 1,25 dihydroxy. Calcitriol/Vitamin D, 1,25 Dihydroxy must be ordered separately.
