Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, and Trichomonas vaginalis, NAA
Significant deviations in the urine Chlamydia and Gonorrhea lab test from the normal range may require further evaluation by your physician.Includes:
Chlamydia trachomatis, NAA
Neisseria gonorrhoeae, NAA
Trichomonas vaginalis, NAA
Urine specimen: The patient should not have urinated for at least one hour prior to specimen collection. Please provide a first-catch urine (approximately 20 mL to 30 mL of the initial urine stream) into a urine collection cup provided at the lab which is free of any preservatives. Collection of larger volumes of urine may result in specimen dilution that may reduce test sensitivity; lesser volumes may not adequately rinse organisms into the specimen. Female patients should not cleanse the labial area prior to providing the specimen.
Estimated turnaround for results is 7 business days. If confirmation testing is required, the estimated time may be extended.Categories: Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's)
