The Luteinizing Hormone (LH) test is routinely ordered to evaluate fertility in both men and women. LH can also assist in the diagnosis of pituitary gland disorders and menstrual irregularities. This test is useful in the differential diagnosis of pituitary and gonadal insufficiency and in children with precocious puberty.
